Mary E. Clay
Mary E. Clay, age 82, died early Saturday morning, October 10, 2009, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.
She was born July 21, 1927, at Fowler, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Callie (Vink) Weber.  As a young girl she attended the Fowler school system, graduating from Fowler High School in 1946.  A lifetime resident of Meade County, she was a homemaker. 
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Meade, and enjoyed arts and crafts, and sewing. 
On September 28, 1952, she married Walter Kent Clay at Fowler, Kansas.  He precedes her in death on October 9, 1999. 
Survivors include: A son, Jerry Clay and wife Lori of Liberal, Kansas; A brother, Neal Weber of Fowler, Kansas; A sister, Viola Ewy of Columbus, Ohio; Two grandsons,  Kyle and A.J. Clay
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at the First Baptist Church, Meade, with Pastor Paul Livingston presiding. Interment was in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
The family would welcome memorials to the American Diabetes Association or the Children’s Miracle Network in care of the funeral home.
