Paul Edward Jackson
Paul Edward Jackson, age 60, died Wednesday afternoon, September 16, 2009, at his Meade, Kansas, residence.
He was born December 26, 1948, at Altadena, California, the son of Sidney E. and Betty J. (Griffith) Jackson. As a young boy he attended school in California, graduating from Hogan Senior High School, Vallejo, California in 1967. He later attended Pasadena College in Pasadena, California.
On May 24, 1975, he married Patricia “Trish” Pohl at Santa Maria, California. Upon their marriage, the couple moved to Meade, Kansas, where they have made their home. In 1976, Paul began his career as an Itinerant Evangelist traveling to many locations. Later in 1983, Paul and his wife incorporated their ministry, Jetstream Ministries, and continued to travel preaching the word of the Lord.
Paul enjoyed traveling by motorcycle, shopping at thrift stores, working with sound equipment, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Meade; the Country Gospel Music Association; and the Christian Motorcyclists Association.
He is survived by: His wife, Trish Jackson of Meade, Kansas; His parents, Sidney and Betty Jackson of Meade, Kansas; a niece, nephew, great-niece, an uncle, four aunts, and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by a brother, John Robert Jackson.
Celebration of life services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009, at the Church of the Nazarene, Meade. Cremation had taken place. Inurnment followed in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade, Kansas.
The family would welcome memorials to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Country Gospel Music Association, or the Christian Motorcyclists Association “Run for the Son” in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
