John Konek 77, passed peacefully at his home in Wichita, on Sunday, October 4, 2009, surrounded by his family.  John was born  in California, PA, January 26, 1932. Rosary/Vigil 7:00 pm, Wednesday, October 7, Downing & Lahey Mortuary East.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am, Thursday, October 8, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Inurnment noon, Friday, October 9, Graceland Cemetery, Meade, KS.  Preceded in death by parents, George and Julia Simko Konek and seven siblings.  Survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Carol (Wolfe) Konek; daughters, Jill Konek and Jana Konek, both of Wichita, KS; sons, J.D. Konek of Long Beach, CA and Jeff Konek of Leucadia, CA; brother, Peter J. Konek (Ruth) of Wichita; grandchildren, Dylan, Damon and Ian Konek; great-grandchild, Ryder Konek.  Memorials have been established with Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 124 N.
