Dorothy E. Rexford
Dorothy E. Rexford, 88, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at Meade, Kansas.
She was born June 25, 1921, at Dodge City, Kansas, to Olan and Mae Wilson.  She graduated from Dodge City High School.  She then attended Dodge City Community College.
On March 24, 1940, she married Alva E. Rexford at the Methodist Church in Dodge City, Kansas.  They were married 64 years and 7 months.
She belonged to the United Methodist Church in Meade, Kansas.  She was a member of the Webb Chapter of the Eastern Star and served as the Worthy Matron in 1953.
Survivors are two sons, Gary of Topeka, Kansas, and Buck of Meade, Kansas.  Six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marie Sayles.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary Chapel, Meade, Kansas, with Pastor Tom Walters presiding. Interment was in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
The family would welcome memorials to the Lone Tree Retirement Center, in care of the funeral home.
