Patricia “Pat” Jane Ohnick
Patricia Jane Twyman Ohnick passed peacefully at 10:04am Sunday, August 8th 2010 at Meade District Hospital surrounded by members of her family. She was the 3rd child of 4 to her parents, Porter and Jewel Twyman at Eva, Oklahoma.
Pat was united in marriage to Mitcheal J. Ohnick on April 15th 1952 on the Twyman’s family farm at Eva, Oklahoma. They were married for 58 years.
Pat worked part time for the Meade County Treasurer Office before moving into a full time position as office secretary to the Meade County Road Department. She combined 22 years of service to Meade County before retiring in 2007.  In 1990 Mick and Pat purchased the Cotton Wood Motel and R V park and after a lot of work the Circle O Motel and R V park was up and running and open for business.
On January 5, 1985 with Mick and Pat’s love for music and friends they started the Meade City Limits Jamboree, hosting a place for musicians from near and far to come and play music, visit with old friends and make new ones, to eat some good food and have a great time.
But above all, was Pat’s love for God. Pat was a member of the Church Of The Nazarene in Meade for 43 years. Pat started her mornings a 4:30 am. With her reading her Bible and her daily devotions. Pat was always involved in the church in many ways from serving on many committees to singing in the choir.  
Her father and mother precede Patricia in death, leaving behind to celebrate her life, husband Mick, her 3 children Rod and his wife Martha, Rhonda and her husband Rick Gillen, Russell and his wife Karrie and grandson Mitch all from Meade, a brother John Twyman of Boise City, Oklahoma, Sister Iva Lee Palmer of Swansea, Illinois and Yvonne White of Nickerson, Kansas, numerous nieces and nephews, hundreds if not thousands of friends from border to border, coast to coast and some eighty six tomato plants for the daughter-in-laws to can. 
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at the Church of the Nazarene, Meade, with the Reverend Ron Willard presiding.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.  Patricia will be laid to rest at the Graceland Cemetery in Meade. In lieu of Flowers the family request memorials to the Nazarene Church’s building Fund for front steps.
