Thomas Leo Vance
Thomas Leo Vance, age 65, passed away November 5, 2010, at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was born January 5, 1945, at Sealy, Texas, the son of Leo and Irene (Carter) Vance.  As a young boy he attended school in Plains, Kansas, graduating from Plains High School in 1963.  After his schooling he began his career in the oilfield, living in Banner, Oklahoma, working on oil rigs until he injured his back.
Hs is survived by: Two sons, Ryan and Brian; Two brothers, Jimmy Vance of Shannon Hill, Arkansas and Danny Vance and wife Terri of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandmother, and two uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary Chapel, Meade, Kansas. Interment will be in the Plains Cemetery, Plains.
The family would welcome memorials to the Plains Library in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
