Frank Allen Younger
Frank Allen Younger, age 79, died early Monday morning, December 6, 2010, at the Lone Tree Retirement Center, Meade, Kansas.
He was born October 7, 1931, at Galena, Kansas, the son of Marvin and Manilla (Cooper) Younger. As a young boy, he attended the Galena school system. He later joined the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge, he returned to southeast Kansas, making his home for over twenty years in Baxter Springs, until 2004 when he moved to Plains. He was a mechanic.
He was a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars and enjoyed fishing and going to casinos.
In 1957, he married Lois Bailey. The couple later divorced.
He is survived by: A son, Glenn Allen Younger of Baxter Springs, Kansas; Two daughters, Frankie Terhune of Plains, Kansas and Tamara Ratzlaff of Diamond, Missouri; Two brothers, Bob Younger of Baxter Springs, Kansas and Cole Younger of Baxter Springs, Kansas; A sister, Ruth Cook of Oklahoma; Seven Grandchildren and Six Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim and Glenn Younger; and two sisters, Doris Roberts and Lucille Wilson.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas, is in charge of arrangements.
