Carolyn M. Bazer
Carolyn M. Bazer, age 59, died early Saturday morning, August 16, 2008, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.
She was born April 9, 1949, at West Point, Nebraska, the daughter of Everett and Irene (Koch) Nelson.  As a young girl she attended school in the Omaha area. 
A resident of Meade since 1989, moving from Plains, she was a homemaker and had worked for the Chuckwagon Restaurant in Meade.  Carolyn enjoyed working with crafts, crocheting, sewing, drawing, and had a found love for animals, dogs in particular. 
On December 9, 1969, she married William E. Bazer in Omaha.  He survives. 
Other survivors include: Two sons, Robert Bazer of Sutter, Illinois, William Bazer of Meade, Kansas; A daughter, Mary Reeds of Cameron, Missouri; Five brothers, Donald, Hershel, Junior, Harold, and Dewayne Nelson; Three sisters, Annie, Karen, and Marilyn; Nine grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and David Bazer.
Celebration of life services will be held at a later date as cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome memorials to the Carolyn Bazer memorial fund in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
