Robert C. “Bob” Borchers
Robert C. “Bob” Borchers, 54, employee of Duke Conoco Phillips for 34 years, passed away January 13, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Bob leaves behind his beloved wife Peggy of 35 wonderful years; his daughter Sondra Allen, husband Brad, and their girls Ashlie, Emily, and Morgan; his son Preston, wife Carie and their boys Chase and Braden; his mother Ruby; brother Verlynn and wife Rene; and sister Carol Jean Krenz. Preceding him in death was his father Clarence and brother in law Rev. Richard Krenz.  Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday January 17, 2009 at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel located at 1212 W. 2nd, Liberal, KS 67901. Bob will be laid to rest in the Plains Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation time will be 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Friday with family present to receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Friday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center at Via Christi – St. Francis, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
