Ruth A. Classen
Ruth A. (Stephenson) Classen, 76, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Trinity Manor, Dodge City.
She was born November 23, 1931 at Dodge City, the daughter of Leroy B. and Anna Scheuch Stephenson.  A lifetime Dodge City resident, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Coronado Car Club both of Dodge City.
On August 29, 1950 she married Elmer Classen at Meade.  He survives.
Other survivors include: her son, Steve and wife Tricia, Derby; her daughter, Ruanne “Sammi” Valencia, Dodge City; 2 sisters, Mary Rogers and husband Buck, Perry, Oklahoma and Evelyn Israel and husband Lee, Ft. Dodge; 5 grandchildren, Gloria Valencia, Dodge City, Brandon Valencia and companion Lisa Salas, Lawrence, Shana Ison and husband Clint, Shayla Classen and Shannan Shirley and husband Jeff all of Derby; and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Elby and Robert Stephenson.
Funeral Service were held at10:30 am Monday, September 22, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, Dodge City, with Rev. Gary Winget presiding. Burial was in Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City.
