Dorothy M. Conway
Dorothy M. Conway, age 91, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.
She was born October 11, 1916, at Ensign, Kansas, the daughter of Robert Milton and Myrtle Lilly (Felker) Norsworthy. As a young girl she attended the Ensign school system, graduating from Ensign High School.
A long time resident of Ensign and Meade, she had worked for the Moon Mist Motel, Barnes Cleaners, and was a retired billing clerk for the City of Meade.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, having served as a Sunday school teacher for the young children. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, working word and jig-saw puzzles.
On July 23, 1938, she married Phillip Donald Conway at Ensign. He passed away on February 8, 2003.
Survivors include: A son, James “Jim” Conway of Meade, Kansas; Two daughters, Louise Castleberry of Bethany, Oklahoma and Nancy Frank of Angel Fire, New Mexico; A brother, Robert Norsworthy of Meade, Kansas; Five grandchildren and Four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; a son, Gene Conway; parents; and a sister, Audrey Overman.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at the Church of the Nazarene, Meade, with the Reverend Ron Willard presiding. Interment was in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
The family would welcome memorials to the Church of the Nazarene Building Fund in care of the mortuary.
