K. DeWayne Eccleston
K. DeWayne Eccleston, 69, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City, KS. He was born on September 12, 1939 at Cimarron, Kansas, the son of Orval K. and Viola F. (Pflieger) Eccleston.
Mr. Eccleston was a lifetime area resident. He attended Dodge City Community College and Kansas State University. On March 8, 1981, he married Barbara Edwards. She preceded him in death on August 29, 2002. He was a farmer and cattleman.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Dodge City.
Survivors include: son, Larry Eccleston, Dodge City, KS; sister, Kay Wilson, Jetmore, KS; mother, Viola F. (Pflieger) Eccleston, Dodge City, KS; and brother, DeLane Eccleston of Ballwin, MO.
He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Terry Eccleston.
Graveside memorial services were held at Maple Grove Cemetery on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 10 am with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. Memorials can be made to the Hodgeman County EMT, Hodgeman County Health Center, Hospice of the Prairie, Dodge City, Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City, or to the donor’s choice, in care of the funeral home.
