Ivan P. Ediger
Ivan P. Ediger, age 46, died early Wednesday morning, August 20, 2008, in rural Meade County, near Plains, Kansas, as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born March 28, 1962, at Yuma, Colorado, the son of Walter Paul and Sue (Surls) Ediger.  As a young boy he attended the Otis, Colorado school system, later graduating from Turpin High School, Turpin, Oklahoma in 1980.  Upon his graduation he attended Grace University, graduating with an associates degree in biblical studies.  He later attended Central State University, Edmond, Oklahoma.
On March 16, 1985, he married Wynelle Ediger at Meade, Kansas.  After their marriage, the couple made their home in Moscow, Kansas, moving to rural Meade, in 1996.  He was employed by Supreme Feeders as a bovine inspector.
He attended the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church and the Emmanuel Mennonite Church, both of Meade, and assisted with the Awana Cubbies.  Ivan enjoyed photography, leather working, playing the trumpet, basketball, story telling, horses, animals of all kinds, and most of all, spending time with his family.       
He is survived by: His wife, Wynelle Ediger of rural Meade, Kansas; Two daughters, Shaina Ediger presently attending West Texas A&M University, Canyon, TX and Sherrese Ediger presently attending Hesston College, Hesston, Kansas; His parents, Walter and Sue Ediger of Turpin, Oklahoma; A brother, Rick Ediger, and wife, Connie and family of Greely, Colorado; A sister, Karen Sulek, and husband, Mike, and family of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Funeral services were held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2008, at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Meade, with the Reverend Ken Harder presiding. Interment was in the Emmanuel Mennonite Church Cemetery, rural Meade.
The family would welcome memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
