Carmen L. Francis
Carmen L. Francis, age 69, died December 9, 2008 at her residence in Liberal.
She was born on January 17, 1939, the daughter of John and Daisy (Kelly) Evans at Plains, Kansas.  She graduated from the Plains High School.
She was the owner / operator of The Gift Box in Liberal from 1975 – 1986. 
One of her greatest joys was being with her grandkids.
Survivors include: 2 Sons – Shannon Francis and wife Carol, Liberal, KS, and Darrin Francis and wife Nancy, Maple Grove, MN; 1 Daughter – Bridgitt Francis, Belle, MO; Mother – Daisy Evans, Meade, KS; 1 Brother – Gary Evans and wife Carol, Plains, KS; 5 Grandchildren:  Kelly, Kimberly, John, Samuel and Benjamin Francis.
She was preceded in death by her father John Evans. 
Graveside Services will be 10:30 am Friday, December 12, 2008, at the Plains Cemetery in Plains, Kansas with her nephew, Rev. Andrew Evans presiding.  Visitation will be from 6 – 8 pm Thursday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.
