Fowler Senior Center
Fowler Senior Center will be holding the monthly potluck supper on Monday evening, August 20th, at 6:30. Anyone age 50+ is invited to bring a side dish, salad or dessert and join us at the senior center for lots of good food and laughs. After dinner, the group will enjoy a stroll down memory lane with Carol Burnett and her friends. It is sure to be a fun night! On Thursday, they will have coffee and donuts from 2:00-4:00, so be sure to stop in and say hello. They will also have our regular exercise on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:30 in the morning, and cards on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30. Hope to see you next week!!
Meet Meade Coffee Break
The Meade Chamber of Commerce is hosting a ‘Meet Meade Coffee Break’ on Thursday, September 6th, from 10 to 11 am. This event is open to the public with the bank serving free coffee and rolls.
Mini Cheer Clinic
The Meade High School Cheerleaders are hosting a Mini Cheer Clinic on Saturday, August 25th, from 6:30 to 7:45 pm at the high school gym for all children age 3 through 6th grade. The cost to participate is $20 with registration being held on the 25th at 6:30 pm.
The Annual Buffalo Bonanza, sponsored by the Meade Booster Club, will be held Friday, August 24th. All participants in fall sports will be introduced. Volleyball girls will begin in the MHS gym at 5:30 pm. Football players will be introduced on the field beginning at 6:00 pm. Students participating in all fall sports beginning with Meade Rec participants and including MJH and MHS participants will be recognized. The Meade Booster Club will provide hamburgers, condiments, drinks, and table service. Parents are asked to bring some chips, cookies, fruit, veggies, etc. All non-members are requested to donate $5 per family to offset expenses. Everyone is welcome to attend this celebration of a new school year. It will be a great time to become a Booster Club member.
Silencing of God Seminar
The Meade Church of Christ will be hosting the Silencing of God Seminar featuring special guest Dave Miller, Ph.D. on August 24-26th at the church, 202 N. Pearlette in Meade. Friday and Saturday services will begin at 7 pm with Sunday services at 9:30 and 10:30 am. For more information contact Chris Raynor at 620-873-0045.
After Prom Meeting
There will be an After Prom Meeting for ALL Meade High School Junior and Senior Parents (and anyone else who would like to be involved) on MONDAY, AUGUST 20th at 6:30 pm at the High School Commons Area!!
